AMALIA Hydroelectric Plant

The project uses water from the Raxtap creek, a tributary stream to the Polochic River. CARBON Engineering was hired by Sorgent.e to perform conceptual design studies, evaluating two options. The first option includes head works, a low pressure conduction system to the approximately 30.000 m3 regulation reservoir, penstock and powerhouse with a penstock 1020 meters long, and a gross head of 350 m. The second option has no reservoir but with a gross head of 398 m.

A pressure pipe 1010m long and a 1.1m in diameter.
