RÍO BLANCO hydroelectric plant
This hydroelectric project uses water from the Lindo river through diversion works with a concrete dam, with a tyrolean intake, and a gravel trap. The water is conducted through a 233 m long tunnel and 1490 m pressure pipeline, made of fiberglass reinforced polyethyelene. The powerhouse hosts a horizontal shaft Francis turbine with a net head of 125 m and a maximum flow of 4.6 m3 /s.

CARBON Engineering was hired by Sociedad Hidroeléctrica Río Blanco S.A. de C.V., part of the Terra Group, to conduct pre -feasibility studies , final design and construction plans for all the project’s civil works.
